“I believe that everyone is born to do something. In my instance I was born to be a hairdresser.”
So I worked in salons for 10 years before realising that I could also impart my passion for hairdressing to others. For the next 10 years I focused on this, working in further education and progressed from being a part time lecturer through to being the head of a hair and beauty department with 500+ students. Having made a decision to relocate to Ilfracombe I left my previous role as a lecturer at the Lee Stafford Hair Academy at Chichester College to provide a mobile hairdressing service in the beautiful North Devon area whilst continuing to specialise in wedding hair. I am also continuing to work with VTCT as a Hairdressing subject matter expert, writing educational material and setting examinations for the next generation of hairdressers.
My real passion though has always been the physical act of hairdressing so now I find myself back in a “hands on” role to ensure that everyone can have “hair as special as the occasion”.

Over the past seven years, I have established myself as a wedding hair specialist in Ilfracombe where I get to work in some of the most beautiful and spectacular wedding venues in the world.
Training
During my time as a lecturer/manager I continued my own personal training development by attending courses in hair up, cutting and colouring with recognised industry leaders such as Saks, Toni & Guy, Tigi and Wella.
